Senior RF Engineer
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Design & optimization of RF networks & cell sites for UMTS/WCDMA, LTE, IOT (5G) networks using MapInfo, ATOLL, PLANET EV, and Actix. Perform spread traffic analysis, simulation, capacity dimensioning, propagation model tuning and link budget. Conduct RF analysis for the networks for pre-launch and post launch optimization support.PREREQUISITES:
- At least 7-8 years of experience required in design and optimization of 5G NR, mmWave, LTE/VoLTE and UMTS Wireless Networks.
- Require expertise with tools such as ASSET, Atoll, Actix One, Power BI, True call, One data, Mapinfo, Element, IMNOS, Tech Insights, Fuze, Site Tracker etc.
- Must have extensive hands on experience in Ericsson OSS, Objects, NetAct and OEM hardware (i.e., Nokia, Ericsson etc.).
- Proficient in automation, parameter dump generation and quick audits.
- Sharp analytical skills and advanced theoretical knowledge on raw counters.
- Thorough understanding of RF engineering concepts and principles, including antenna, line, RF theory, propagation modeling, FCC/FAA regulations

- Experience with overlay networks and/or design recommendations for integrated/converted networks of major OEM vendors i.e., Nokia, Ericsson etc.
- Require prior experience analyzing network parameters for optimization of KPIs for newly integrated 5G NR, mmWave, LTE/VoLTE sites.
- Hands on experience on tools like EMIL, wiresharketc for troubleshooting.
- Expert in load balancing and Inter RAT mobility parameters and features
- Must demonstrate ability to create and validate frequency plans / Code for large area/clusters, and for improving network performance analysis and management.
- Require hands on experience generating 5G NR, mmWave, LTE RNDCIQ, ATNDCIQ.
- Alarm monitoring, RSSI/VSWR troubleshooting and Site performance stabilization.
- Neighbor/Parameter audits and analysis for areas/dual band/dual vendor systems balance, timing advance, hardware issues, etc.
- Assist with analysis of counters to determine network performance fixes.
- Must have ability to understand and reference 3GPP specifications and must show aptitude and desire to learn and advance in a changing technical field.
- Interface with Customer and cultivate relationship with their engineering teams.
- Create DAS and small cell network designs and proposals to include system Build of Materials selection (Antennas, passive, active equipment and manufacturer).
- Utilize sales process workflow systems.
- Design systems by selecting sites, conducting CW tests, analyzing data, and prepare customer documentation.
- Configure, test, optimize and commission DAS and small cell networks.
- Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure along with team of engineers.

RF Field/Installation Technician
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of technical field experience.
- Prior installation experience is must.
- Experience as a technician in the wireless industry/central office with working knowledge of Power, UMTS and LTE equipment.
- Integrate hardware, configure & test equipment (LTE equipment).
- Tune duplexers and test/verify proper operation with repeaters.
- Minimum 2 years installation of Network / Telecommunication / Wireless Equipment and working knowledge of industry standards.
- Ability to lug, crimp, stitch & lace and terminate all types & sizes of cable.
- Ability to read and execute to a rack elevation document and install equipment in chosen locations.
- Ability to route point to point cabling and wire with attention to polarity (Power, alarms).
- Installation of Emerson, Alpha and/or GE BDFB power bays. -Installation of Batteries and supporting equipment (cables, conduit runs).
- Ability to troubleshoot highly complex network / telecommunication / wireless problems.
- Strong knowledge of DC and AC circuitry.
- Ability to perform tests with various testing equipment such as multimeter, signal analyzers, Site Masters, etc.
- A high level of organization & computer literacy.
- Telecommunication/ Network background preferred.
- Minimum 2 years integration/configuration/commissioning experience.
- Certifications are a plus.
- Ability to self-manage responsibilities in order to achieve daily results.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
- Able to read Engineering documents.
- ESD (Electrostatic Discharge): Knowledge of Handling ESD Protected Material.
- Safety Training - WWT provided.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Hazardous Communication.
- MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).
- Lockout/Tagout for Affected Personal
- Design, create and update code plugs.
- Build and repair RF cables.
- Perform operational test and fault isolation on automated RF test systems and equipment.
- Advanced system level trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
- Moderate knowledge of LTE fixed wireless broadband systems and applications.
- Moderate TCP/IP networking skills (SIP, VoIP, IPv4, IPv6, IPSEC VPN, SSLm firewalls, IP routing)
- Previous experience with the following equipment/tools: RF spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, multimeters, power meters, RF amplifiers, power supplies, probe stations.
- Must have team-oriented attitude, accountability and ownership.
- Excellent computer skills, MS Excel, Word, Power Point.
- Good understanding of RF basics.
- Capable of basic troubleshooting and debugging.
- Assembly experience is a strong plus.
- Strong critical thinker with a focus on process improvement.
- The ability to juggle and follow through on multiple projects simultaneously.
- The knack of remaining cool under pressure or deadlines.
- The ability to problem solve issues that come up suddenly.
- Team player and able to follow instructions.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or vocational school in electronics and wireless system repair is preferred but not required.
- Must be technically savvy.
- Does not mind repetitive work.
- Focused and detail-oriented.
